About the role

At Shiftbase, we’re on a mission to modernize and elevate the entire user experience across all devices. As a Frontend Developer, you’ll be instrumental in delivering clean, intuitive, and performant interfaces that serve thousands of users.

You’ll contribute to our component-based design system and work with modern technologies like Angular, TypeScript, and React Native. Our frontend ecosystem is evolving-modularizing, simplifying, and optimizing for maintainability and performance.

We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about design fidelity, component scalability, accessibility, and creating a seamless experience across desktop and mobile.

What success looks like

• You’ve delivered elegant, consistent, and accessible UI components used across the product
• You’ve contributed to our design system and helped evolve our component library
• You’ve improved responsiveness and usability across screen sizes and devices
• You’ve implemented smooth interactions that enhance user satisfaction
• You’ve collaborated with product and backend engineers to bring complex interfaces to life

Who you are

You’re a Frontend Engineer who thrives on translating complex logic into clean and intuitive interfaces. You balance aesthetics with performance and love bringing great designs to life across platforms.

You are:
• Experienced – At least 3 years of experience with a SPA framework (preferably Angular)
• Quality-driven – You’re confident with test automation tools like Jest or Playwright
• Agile-minded – You enjoy working iteratively in a team
• A mentor – You share knowledge freely and love collaborative initiatives like hackathons
• Curious – You stay current and enjoy trying new tools that improve development
• End-user focused – You simplify complex problems into intuitive solutions
• Communicative – You explain your decisions clearly and value team discussions
• A team player – You collaborate well, including through pair programming
• Precision-oriented – You care deeply about quality, detail, and consistency

Bonus points if you’ve worked with Storybook, React, PHP, TDD, or TypeScript.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain modular, reusable components in Angular
• Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless API integration
• Optimize frontend performance and responsiveness across devices
• Implement UI tests and contribute to our continuous delivery process
• Support the transition to mobile-first with React Native implementation
