About the role

As a Finance Support Specialist at Shiftbase, you play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Your responsibilities span essential processes such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoice support. From managing incoming and outgoing payments, to reconciling transactions and addressing billing inquiries, your attention to detail helps maintain smooth financial workflows across the business.

This position has been created in response to our rapid growth. As our customer base, transaction volume, and operational complexity increase, so does the importance of strong, consistent financial support. By managing the operational workload, you enable senior finance team members to focus on strategic reporting, process development, and system improvements that drive scalable growth.

You will join a finance team that values precision, structure, and initiative. This is a hands-on role with tangible impact—contributing to accurate reporting, reliable financial data, and a strong operational foundation to support Shiftbase’s ongoing expansion.

What are we going to achieve together?

• You’ve confidently mastered tools like Netsuite, Moss, HubSpot, and Slack.
• All recurring financial tasks are running smoothly—with minimal errors and zero surprises.
• Debtor management is tight: invoices go out, follow-ups are timely, and overdue payments are rare.
• Credit invoicing and subscription changes are processed accurately and within SLA timelines.
• Internal and external billing questions are answered within 24–48 hours.
• You proactively suggest improvements to our financial workflows.
• You’ve built trust with stakeholders in Finance, HR, and beyond.

Who you are

You are structured, self-starting, and incredibly accurate. You like things done right, and you know how to keep your cool when numbers don’t add up at first glance.

You are:

• Bilingual – Fluent in Dutch, comfortable in English (spoken & written).

What you’ll do

• Point of contact for our debtor management – you track open payments, chase follow-ups, and ensure cash flow stays on point.
• Manage creditor processes – verifying incoming invoices, managing payment runs, and keeping vendor relationships smooth.
• Support all invoice-related queries – whether from a colleague or a client – and respond within our 24–48 hour SLA.
• Handle credit invoicing and subscription changes, including validation, processing, and coordination with other teams.
• Maintain clean and compliant records in Netsuite.
• Reconcile Moss credit card transactions and oversee company-wide usage.
• Flag exceptions, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with Finance and HR to resolve them fast.
• Spot improvement opportunities and help optimize our financial support processes.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years in finance, accounting, or financial support roles.
• Familiarity with tools like Netsuite and Moss (or eager to learn).
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Great with systems and managing digital workflows.
• Fluent in Dutch; able to communicate well in English.
• Fast, accurate, and organized under pressure.
