Our Recruitment Journey: How we bring topnotch talent on board

At Shiftbase, every stage of our hiring process is designed to help both you and us determine whether there’s a great mutual fit. Here’s a step-by-step look at how it works:

1. Screening

What happens: Our recruiter, alongside the hiring manager (and sometimes HR), reviews your profile to see if your skills and experience match the opportunity. Your part: Make sure your resume and online profiles clearly showcase your expertise and achievements.

2. Intake

What happens: We kick things off with a friendly intake call. During this chat—usually led by our recruiter and occasionally joined by an HR business partner—we check for an initial fit. Your part: Bring your authentic self to the conversation and feel free to ask any questions about the role or Shiftbase.

3. 1st Interview

What happens: This conversation focuses on aligning your skills and values with Shiftbase’s mission. The hiring manager leads the discussion and is often joined by the recruiter or even a future colleague for additional perspectives. Your part: Share your professional journey and discuss what excites you about the opportunity. This is a great chance for us to get to know you better.

4. 2nd Interview (Including Assignment)

What happens: In this combined stage, we dive deeper into your expertise and how you approach real-world challenges. The assignment (if applicable to your role) is integrated into this session, providing you an opportunity to demonstrate your competencies. This round is led by the hiring manager, with support from HR, the recruiter, and subject matter experts when needed. Your part: Be ready for a more detailed conversation where you can showcase your skills through both discussion and a practical assignment. It’s your opportunity to demonstrate how you’d tackle actual challenges at Shiftbase.

5. Reference check

What happens: To ensure a comprehensive view of your background, our HR representative and recruiter will connect with your references. This step helps validate your experience and professional style. Your part: Inform your references that they may be contacted so they’re prepared to share insights about your work.

6. Job offer

What happens: If all goes well, we’ll be excited to extend you an offer. HR, the hiring manager, and team members from finance, legal, and our founders collaborate to craft an offer that reflects both the opportunity and our commitment to you. Your part: Ask questions about benefits, growth opportunities, and any details that matter to you. This is a great moment to understand your future with us.

7. Employment

What happens: Finally, we formalize your onboarding. You sign the necessary documents and begin your journey with Shiftbase, stepping into a role where your ideas can truly make an impact. Your part: Celebrate this exciting new chapter as you join a team that values innovation, collaboration, and growth.
