
Example recruitment process
At Shiftbase, every stage of our hiring process is designed to help both you and us determine whether there’s a great fit. Here’s a step-by-step look at how it works (can differ based on the position):
1. Screening
What happens: Our recruiter reviews your profile to see if your skills and experience match with the open position. In case of a first positive match we'll invite you for an online intake call. Your part: Make sure your resume and online profiles showcase your skills and experiences so far.
2. Intake
What happens: We kick things off with an online intake call. You'll meet with our corporate recruiter and go over some practical questions as well as basic questions about your experiences so far. The goal is to see if we are aligned on the basics (salary, hybrid working etc.) and to see if there's a first match with the role and our company culture. Your part: Bring your authentic self to the conversation and feel free to ask any questions about the role or Shiftbase.
3. First Interview
What happens: This conversation focuses on aligning your skills and values with Shiftbase’s mission. The hiring manager leads the discussion and is often joined by the recruiter or a future colleague for additional perspectives. Your part: Share your professional journey and discuss what excites you about the opportunity. This is a great chance for us to get to know you better.
4. Second Interview (can include an assignment/assessment)
What happens: In this combined stage, we dive deeper into your expertise and how you approach real-world challenges. The assignment (if applicable to your role) is integrated into this session, providing you an opportunity to demonstrate your skills. This round is led by the hiring manager and other stakeholders. Your part: Be ready for a more detailed conversation where you can showcase your skills through both discussion and a practical assignment. It’s your opportunity to demonstrate how you’d tackle actual challenges at Shiftbase.
5. Reference check
What happens: To ensure a comprehensive view of your background, our HR representative or recruiter will connect with your references. This step helps validate your experience. A reference check is mandatory for ISO certified companies. Your part: Inform your references that they may be contacted so they’re prepared to share insights about your work.
6. Job offer
What happens: If all goes well, we’ll be excited to extend you an offer. Our recruiter will present the offer in writing.
7. Employment
What happens: We formalize your onboarding. You sign the necessary documents and begin your journey with Shiftbase, stepping into a role where your ideas can truly make an impact.
